Activities
Staying in the recreational centre Skalka offers many opportunities for summer and winter activities, such are trips to near or more distant areas, summer and winter sports, trainings and hunting. There is also possibility to organize courses, training or leisure events here. Area around the hotel also offers activities that do not depend on the season, multifunctional room active recreation - multifunctional hall, bowling, squash, relaxation water world, sauna, fitness.
There are 5 ski lifts operating during the winter season next to our hotel. The slopes are snowed and maintained, suitable for both down-hill skiing and snowboarding. Night skiing is possible due to high quality lighting. Besides of skiing slopes, there are 50km of cross country trails in the area, and newly built inline trail - 3x1800m - used as a cross country trail with artificial snow in the winter. In the summer season, surrounding hills are suitable for hiking and biking. You can find a multifunctional grass area with fields for volleyball, basketball, handball, tennis etc near the hotel. You can spend unforgettable moments inline skating on our inline trail in the summer.

Sailing HRON riverYou can sail Hron on rafts or kayaks, or enjoy your summer time with canoes. We arrange boats and equipment renting as well as professional guide. Education and music - relaxing program with stars in Žiar nad Hronom Observatory to finish a nice day. Program lasts: Half day Turčianske Teplice AquaparkYou can rest and enjoy yourself in Aquapark with thermal water and switchbacks. You can continue by visiting a salt cave and relaxing there. Program lasts: Half day Horses, biking, natureHorse riding on a farmhouse in Mošovce, biking in wonderful volley of Gaderska dolina in Veľká Fatra National Park. During an easy bike ride, your guide will tell you about natural beauties of Slovakia, fauna, flora and environment. There will be also little games. You can refresh yourself in clean natural springs. On our way, we will show you a garden full of flower, herbs and skilful hands. We will stop by a sheep-cote and taste genuine sheep cheese, žinčica and traditional Slovakian pledge. Program lasts: Half day |
